Jolie Duenas. | USA 

A native of Miami, I have cultivated a lifelong dedication to painting, shaped by the city's vibrant cultural energy and its unmistakable palette of light and color. My artistic practice is deeply informed by my Piscean nature, embracing a duality that exists between the ethereal and the structure. This balance is reflected throughout my body of work, where contrasting sensibilities coexist and inform one another—much like the two fish of the Pisces symbol, moving in opposite yet harmonious directions. 

This duality is most clearly expressed through two primary series. My Pots & Plants series embodies a dreamlike, organic quality, characterized by softness, fluidity, and an intuitive approach to form. In contrast, my Linear series is rooted in precision, symmetry, and rhythm, exploring structure through repetition and deliberate movement. I move fluidly between these two visual languages, allowing each to inform and challenge the other within my creative process. 

Working primarily on large-scale canvases, I favor acrylic on canvas for its versatility and immediacy. My work draws inspiration from popular culture, linear motion, and the bold, saturated colors of Miami, resulting in compositions that feel both contemporary and emotionally resonant. 

I am currently represented by Contemporary Art Gallery in Miami, and several of my works have been included in the private collections of Senior Curators at Saatchi Art. My paintings are held in private collections throughout Miami, New York, San Diego, and the Bahamas.
