Contemporary Art Projects USA will be showcasing a unique international juried project “Cosmic Connections” at the first inaugural edition of Concept Fair aboard the iconic world mega-yacht SeaFair, known for its exclusive VIP venues and superbly curated art shows. Smaller, affluent, and exciting in design and a much more exclusive high end fair. Concept Fair will serve the most discerning international art collectors in the world.
As an icon of downtown Miami, SeaFair is located next to the new Perez Museum and Frost Museum in conjunction with Bayfront Park premises will be a unique Fair. A magical experience running during Art Basel Week, December 2nd – December 7th which will attract international visitors including galleries, curators and art enthusiasts. The yacht will create an addition to the Downtown Art District one of the most desired visited locations during this week.
This project features the most Avant garde artists of today’s art world. Notable artists exhibiting at the show are: Marcus Jansen-USA, Andrea Batorfi-Swiss, Pablo Pro-Spain, Magaly Barnola Otaola-Venezuela, Maria Fernanda Lairet -Venezuela, Cesar Santos-Cuba, Reynier LLanes- Cuba, Ryota Matsumoto-Japan and T. Cris Alencar-Brazil, Nicholas Berdysheff-Georgia and Mike Gould Laser Art USA.
It will be composed of all innovative media including painting, photography, small and monumental sculptures. Installations, 3D printing, digital and computer art, mixed media, short films and videos.
The Project was conceived by Lead Curator Roberta Gonella responsible for the ground breaking “The Young Mandarins” to Miami at the Art Basel Miami Beach Fair 2006. Richard Tooke, Curator, bringing his thirty years’ experience in the field of Photography where was Director of Rights and Reproductions at the prestigious Museum of Modern Art in New York and Silvia Medina, Curator, former Director of Sala Mendoza, Caracas, Venezuela.
Miami Dade College and the upcoming cultural City of Doral was exposed to this project and their theme “Cosmic Connection” which they agreed to create a Pre-Art Basel Week event at the premises of Miami Dade College West Gallery on November 13th, 2014.
This project will give the opportunity to the art students and local artists to be challenged and be able to win the opportunity to participate at the magnum exhibition during Art Basel Week Miami. The winner will be displayed at the Concept Fair along with all the other selected international artists.
On December 2nd, 2014 there will be a Special VIP Reception for Miami Dade College Affiliates and Doral Community. Located at the Booth of Contemporary Art Projects USA.
Roberta Gonella, Chief Curator came up with the historic concept to travel the Cosmic Connections Exhibition and selected winners of the Doral up to Paul Fisher Gallery in Palm Beach February 2015. For the first time Palm Beach Collectors will be exposed to the Art Basel Miami Week’s Excitement.
