Nature and Human Kind translated by the Eye of the Artist”
curated by Mariavelia Savino, Curator, Contemporary Art Projects USA

The exhibition encompasses a diversity of artistic media and densities including Artworks from Hyper-realistic to Geometric in style, presented as wall pieces and sculptures. From paint/collage on steel and cement canvas, three-dimensional views of skies, waters or topographical lands, sculptures in polished steel or cement, to dreamlike photographic or collage images fulfilled by mystery and fantasy.

Our goal is to present the expansion of the human mind through Art, as an unlimited source of imagery, depictions, thoughts and feelings, endless and infinite, as it is the Universe in which we live, either the real one, or the one fulfilled by the magical visions that Artists create while depicting it. A section of the exhibition will relate its visitors with Historical Art translated by the artists to our time, including a subtle night view of the Liberty Statue in Manhattan, New York, and motivating tributes to Frida Kahlo or Leonardo Da Vinci. Other Artworks are about landscape and nature. These unique artistic pieces travel from the deep sea to the infinite space, also by depictions of a fantastic world, where animal and human are able to merge. In addition, Geometric Abstract Artworks will delight viewers through line, shape, and movement.

Ten Artists are on show: Ricardo Cardenas-Eddy presents his celebrated Tic Tac Toe Tributes to Master Artists and a unique Muse of Ricardo sculpture. Anoukart introduces her refined photographs from her vintage collection of unique objects and branding, translated to a large size. Laura Jane Petelko exhibits a large Plexiglas mounted c-print from her 2018 Soft Stories series, in which fantasy and reality are at the borderline. David Krovblit, David Disko and Chris Delias present unique interpretations of Nature and Urban Landscapes, respectively conceived as views from the space or underwater, the sky or in New York City. Ricardo Lowenberg exhibits impressive paintings from his series Los sueños de Monica a Tribute to Frida Kahlo. Amber Warren brings her Art inspired by International Currencies that she translates to her own scale as unique pieces plentiful of color and subtle messages. Luis Kaiulani exhibits an elegant aluminum sculpture of exquisite abstract conception. Michele Utley-Voigt introduces her colorful painting, in which she portrays the human experience and soul of life depicted by figures interacting within a realm of time to embrace humanity’s inner magnificence, in a call to goodness, kindness, and beauty, to exalt the real best side of human nature. All the selected Artists have exhibited in Art Fairs, Public Spaces or Museums, and received awards. On December, Ricardo Cardenas-Eddy from Mexico had a unique performance with Contemporary Art Projects USA selling over $100,000, after exhibiting during Art Basel week at Scope, a Solo Show at the Delano and a Group Show at SLS, among other venues. Well-known designer Steve Madden from New York purchased his Art at the Delano.

About Art Wynwood 2019
Art Wynwood now relocated at the Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami site on Biscayne Bay: One of the most prestigious and well-known waterfront locations in the City of Miami

Since its inception in 2012, Art Wynwood has become the premier winter destination contemporary and modern art fair in South Florida and offers the most diverse, affluent and culturally savvy international audience in the United States. Produced by Art Miami, the Art Wynwood fair will debut its eight edition during Presidents Day Weekend, February 14 – 18, 2019, at the former Miami Herald site, which also is the new home of Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami, and welcomed 80,000 visitors during Miami Art Week 2017. Art Wynwood will open on Thursday, February 14, with an invitation-only VIP Private Preview benefiting The New International Contemporary Arts Museum (ICA).

Art Wynwood will continue to showcase a dynamic array of works, featuring emerging talent from the contemporary market, mid-career artists, blue-chip contemporary, post-war and modern masters.

This year and moving forward, the world-renowned Miami Yacht Show will debut alongside, and in partnership with Art Wynwood at the One Herald Plaza location. The in-water display of new and pre-owned vessels will showcase the world’s most extraordinary and uniquely designed yachts and superyachts from the world’s foremost custom boat builders.

Nestled between the Venetian Causeway and MacArthur Causeway, and just east of Biscayne Boulevard, Art Wynwood will offer an unprecedented level of convenience located in the heart of the cultural epicenter of Miami. The new downtown location will also offer a renewed connectivity to the Miami Yacht Show, where the “World’s Most Expensive Yachts are on display for acquisition” just a few steps away from the fair.
