Miami’s  newest “Concept Fair” located near the second larger banking capital of North America, Brickell District and adjacent to Perez Museum and Frost Museum presents Art Basel Week Next Level Fair focusing on a broader range of blue chip galleries and innovative emerging artists. This unique Fair, running from December 1st –December 7th will attract international visitors including gallerists, curators and art enthusiasts creating Downtown Art District one of the most desired locations during this week.

Contemporary Art Projects USA has been accepted to exhibit their unique juried international Call for Artists “Cosmic Connections” sponsored by Major Corporations featuring with the most avant garde artists of today art world. All innovative media will be accepted including painting, photography, small and monumental sculptures, installations, 3D printing, digital and computer art, mixed media, short films and videos.

The cosmic gauntlet is down. We ask all emerging and established artists, 18 years of age and older to respond to our theme “Cosmic Connections”. Are we connected to the Universe? Are we alone? Is the Universe in us?

An esteemed jury will choose artwork based upon artistic excellence, innovation and originality.

The 2014 Juros are:

Roberta Gonella, has twenty years experience in the art world, as gallery owner, art consultant, and curator of various art events around the world. Ms. Gonella was responsible for introducing to the Miami Market “The Young Mandarins” which showed at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2006. In 2013, she was responsible for the groundbreaking show “Arachnes Return” in Zurich, which showed new tapestries using digital computers featuring the Jacquard loom. She writes the Visionary Art Trends blog with a following of more than 40,000 art lovers.

Richard L. Tooke, Former Curator of Fundraising Exhibitions for the Patty and Jay Baker Naples Museum of Art and Active Member of the Friends of Arts. Mr. Tooke brings his thirty years experience in the field of Photography where he was Director of Rights and Reproductions at the prestigious Museum of Modern Art in New York. With an extensive Art Collection comprised of established artists he continually searches out exciting new emerging artists from around the world .His belief is to support young artists who have devoted themselves to creating original viewpoints of the world, which then enrich our lives.

Silvia Medina Ms. Medina was founding member of the Havana Biennial as well as Wilfredo Lam Center, Havana, Cuba. She worked at the Foundation for the Development of the Arts and Execute Director of Sala Mendoza in Caracas, Venezuela. Her present position is a curator at Fairs and Galleries worldwide.

The Jury Committee of Contemporary Art Projects USA will select runner up artists to be exhibited at the booth assigned and also wants to recognize emerging artists who demonstrate to their art and the commitment to excellence with a First Prize $2,000.00 and Second Prize $1,000.00, other recognition will be considered at a later time.

In addition to the monetary award winners, all other accepted applicants will have one selected artwork at the HD Cosmic Connection Display at Concept Fair from December 1st –7th 2014.  Also, they will be as part of the Cosmic Connection Project Catalog and Contemporary Art Projects USA e-commerce for Six Months. The Commission Structure will remain the same.

Note: Galleries, Foundation or Group of Artists are welcome to apply. All Artists will be properly identified with their individual representation.

REQUIREMENTS

Media
Images -MINIMUM 1 IMAGE      MAXIMUM IMAGES

Video – Minimum: 1, Maximum: 1

Total Media – Minimum: 1 , Maximum: (3 images and 1 video per artist)

Entry Fee (Art Basel Miami Week Open Juried Exhibition Entry Fee): $55.00/per Application Process and One Image.

Additional Media  (per IMAGE): $10.00

Maximum Fee of $75.00 with an extra charge of $3.00 per video

The only additional cost to the artists is Shipping or Deliver Cost to and from the Fair if the artwork is not sold. All other Costs are Included.

SPECIFICATIONS

All work must be original, unsold work, and the artist must own the sole copyright to art. Substitutions of accepted works will not be allowed, and all delivered work must match the image juried.  Photography must be on aluminum, Plexiglas or framed. The frame must be “floating” 1.5” to 2.00” wide in black and white. No other frames will be accepted.

SIZE RESTRICTIONS

Hanging works are limited to 75” height and 60” width and may not exceed 30 lbs. per unit. There are no exceptions.

Sculptures are limited to 70” height x 40” depth. Outdoor Monumental Sculptures no size limitation.

SALES

All work must be available for sale. There is a 30% commission for   CONTEMPORARY ART PROJECTS USA on sales during the exhibition, and 30 days subsequent to the close of the exhibition. Prices quoted on the entry form may not be changed after acceptance.

ACCEPTED WORK

The selected artist is responsible for proper arrangements and costs connected to shipping to and from the fair, and insuring the artwork while it is in transit.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Contemporary Art Project USA is not responsible for any fees encountered during the shipping, storage and delivery of artwork.

Note: To compensate for International shipping cost Contemporary Art Project USA, will accept canvas in tube and all the cost for stretching will be covered by the artist.

Each work of art must be identified on the back with the artists name and title of the artwork.

Artists are responsible for the shipment and arrival of the artwork on time before the fair set up.

National and International Artists: All artwork must be sent to the UPS Jeffrey D. Catanach Store, they will be in charge of deliver to the Fair. (Be aware that you should make arrangement with Mr. Catanach for the best carrier from your location)

Unsold artwork must be picked-up on December 7th, 2014 at the fair closing time.

Note: If the unsold artwork is not picked-up or properly returned there will be a storage fee of $100.00/per day.

Contemporary Art Projects USA shall have the right to use for its purposes any image(s) of any artwork that is photographed during the fair. Artists will retain all rights in terms of attribution and ownership of any images of their making in all other respects except those stated herein.

LIABILITY

Artwork will be handled with reasonable care. Contemporary Art Project USA and its representatives will not be responsible for loss, theft or damage of artworks while in the fair exhibition’s possession or in transit. Contemporary Art Project USA has the right to reproduce accepted artwork for publicity and documentary purposes. Contemporary Art Project USA allows researchers and commercial filmmakers to use the project as a backdrop. The artist retains all copyrights of the artwork.
