.

Alina Poloboc is a contemporary artist born in Bender, Transnistria, an independent country within Moldova, in 1991. Alina has become a global citizen, dividing her time between Miami, Florida, and Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Initially earning a degree in International Relations and Political Science, she worked as a television presenter for three stations in Moldova. However, during a two-year stay in Bolzano, Italy, she discovered her true passion for painting. A holiday in Palma de Mallorca captivated her with the island’s unique light, inspiring her to begin painting. She attended painting courses for two years, transforming her intense passion into a professional career.

Alina’s work is distinguished by two distinct styles. Her figurative paintings depict real-life ballerinas with elegance, delicacy, and sensitivity, creating the effect of a live ballet performance on canvas. In contrast, her abstract paintings, dominated by blue, reflect her obsession with this hue, representing the sky and sea of Mallorca through ink and natural pigments. Her art, with its figurative allure and abstract expressions, serves as a reflection of her innermost emotions. From graceful ballerinas to vibrant hues of blue, each stroke on canvas tells a story of passion and resilience. Alongside traditional mediums, she has delved into the realms of digital art, exploring 3D animation and the exciting world of NFTs.

At the present, the artist created a new series “Gipsy” which embodies feminine elegance, sensuality, and mystery. Meticulously hand-painted, it features jewels inspired by real pieces from different eras. The jewels depicted in this artwork are inspired by real pieces from different eras, adding a layer of authenticity and historical richness to the portrait. The dress, with its intricate details, adds a dimension of sophistication and refinement, highlighting the opulence and status of the figure portrayed.

The past nine years have been a whirlwind of creativity and growth, marked by international exhibitions that have taken her work to Spain, the US, and Germany. She has participated in main fairs such as Art Santa Fe, Affordable Art, Context-Art Miami among others.

The new series, titled “Fancy Queen,” showcases the artist’s vibrant vision. It bursts with color and energy, embodying the spirit of a bold and extravagant woman.

“Fancy Queen 1” is an explosion of color and energy that captures the essence of a bold and extravagant woman. Through a vibrant fusion of deep blues and dynamic purple tones, the artist brings to life an enigmatic face that exudes sophistication and rebellion. The splashes of color and abstract forms create an aura of mystery and provocation, evoking the intensity of nightlife and the luxury of Miami. Inspired by the vitality and exuberance of this city, the artwork is not just a portrait but a symbol of freedom, art, and limitless expression.

“Fancy Yellow Queen” is an explosion of color and expression that captures the essence of modern royalty with an extravagant and avant-garde flair. The central figure, with an anonymous face but a strong presence, is adorned with dark sunglasses and a golden crown, positioning her as a bold and mysterious queen. Her attire is a dynamic blend of deep blues and vibrant golden and orange accents, creating a sense of luxury, energy, and movement. The fluid lines and abstract patterns reinforce the idea of a sophisticated, daring, and lively personality. Inspired by the opulence and dynamism of urban life, this artwork evokes power, confidence, and an unbreakable spirit.

Series: Tribute to the Masters

“Yellow Cab” captures the unpredictability of love and life in the city that never sleeps. The painting is inspired by the tale of a young man, thrilled for his very first date night in New York. He hails a Yellow Cab, dreaming of candlelight and conversation, but fate intervenes — a mysterious lilac cat crosses his path, sending the cab tumbling beneath the Manhattan Bridge into the dark waters below.

Instead of despair, the man chooses imagination. With a phone call and a spark of creativity, he invites his girlfriend to join him right there, transforming the sunken cab into a stage for their unforgettable night. The piece celebrates resilience, humor, and the magic of rewriting one’s own story, where a simple accident becomes a fantastical memory etched in bright colors and playful forms.

“Picasso Self-Portrait” is a painting inspired by the imaginary world of artist Alina Poloboc: a universe filled with darkness and mystery, yet also with color and clarity. A world that resembles a Russian roulette, where one never knows whom to trust.

In the composition, the blue character paints a canvas titled Picasso Self-Portrait. On it, a red serpent emerges —a symbol of deceit, lies, and betrayal— alongside a yellow bird, representing freedom and love. Trusting in the serpent’s goodness, the bird becomes trapped, a victim of its own innocence. The work reflects on the fragility of trust in an imaginary world where one cannot always rely on others.

“Breakfast with Titi”

In the stillness of dawn, while New York remains half-asleep, Titi awakens a world of wonder at her breakfast table. Fruits slip into red heels, serpents twirl across the air like ribbons of desire, and a cup of coffee becomes an oracle, whispering secrets of the day to come.

This work explores the fragile line between reality and imagination, where objects defy their roles and step into existence as characters. The ordinary turns theatrical, playful, and surreal—reminding us that madness and magic often share the same stage.

For Titi, breakfast is never routine—it is a daily performance of curiosity and fantasy, an invitation to savor life with courage, humor, and a touch of extravagance.
