Artist Profile

Arnold Miranda

Arnold began in circa 1988 as high fashion photography, and Surrealist portrait painting with an emphasis on the human face. He primarily utilizes a mixed media technique: which consists of ink, pencil, and acrylic on paper infusing both above-mentioned genres. Moreover, he has exhibited his work extensively in Mexico, Spain, France and the United States.

In Submerging into the World by Arnold Miranda. The photographer explores the tension between surrendering and controlling the instant when the body yields to gravity and the surrounding element redefines perception. Captured in a suspended moment between air and water, each image becomes both an act of immersion and transformation.

The series reflects on how identity dissolves and reforms through experience. As the figure enters the water, the boundaries between body, space, and reflection blur, evoking themes of vulnerability, introspection, and renewal. The surface becomes a metaphor for transition — a threshold between the visible and the unseen, the conscious and the subconscious.

Through a masterful balance of motion and stillness, light and distortion, submerging into the world invites viewers to contemplate the beauty of letting go — to witness how the human form, even when obscured, reveals a universal truth about connection and the quiet power of existence within an ever-shifting world.

This series will be exhibited at Art Palm Beach and Modern and Contemporary this fall.
