Serge Hamad – French-Algerian

Mr. Hamad’s work explores the intersection of nostalgia, identity, and play through a series of modular bunny sculptures inspired by the charm of vintage flea market toys. Each sculpture functions as both artwork and character—an evolving figure that invites interaction, customization, and storytelling.

Constructed with a magnetic system, the bunnies are designed to exchange body parts, allowing collectors to transform their persona—from fashion icon to cultural symbol, from whimsical to philosophical. This adaptability serves as a metaphor for the many roles people inhabit in daily life, reflecting the fluid and multifaceted nature of identity.

Playful yet conceptually rich, the series bridges art, design, and nostalgia, blurring the line between collectible object and contemporary sculpture. Engaging and interactive, the work invites audiences to participate in the act of creation, making it particularly suited for exhibitions centered on identity, transformation, and the joy of creative play.

He has participated in many majors art fairs as Art Context, Art Santa Fe, Scope among others as well as exhibitions.
