Series Las Caras de Frida II. 6′ x 8′. Mixed Media on Concrete with Steel Bars

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Miami, February 27, 2019. Contemporary Art Projects USA/Gallery announces its participation during 2019 Armory Week New York at Scope New York curated by Mariavelia Savino.
The exhibition encompasses a diversity of media and stiles from Hyper-realistic to abstract. Our goal is to present the expansion of the human mind through Art, as an unlimited source of depictions, thoughts, and feelings, endless and infinite, as it is the Universe in which we live. A key section of the booth will relate to tributes to Frida Kahlo, as an homage to the major exhibition of the unique Art by Frida that will be on show in New York at the time in which the Art Fair takes place. Mexican Artist Ricardo Cardenas-Eddy will present a large painting entitled The Frida’s Wall from the Series Frida’s Paredon inspired on the last moments of her life, made in his characteristic canvas of cement and steel bars and a unique sculpture entitled Xochi in Gold from his successful series Muses of Ricardo. Cardenas-Eddy had a unique performance with Contemporary Art Projects USA in Miami during Art Basel week participating at Scope, a Solo Show at the Delano and a Group Show at SLS, among other venues, and in October he will open a solo show at the Art Gallery in MDC West Campus in Doral. Mexican Artist Ricardo Lowenberg exhibits his impressive large painting Frida Tehuana. Lowenberg says about his inspiration for his paintings: “The Kahlo family and my grandparents from mother side were neighbors at Coyoacan, México. My curiosity for knowing more about Frida gradually grew. When later I began to understand better her Art, my admiration for her became stronger. I studied her artworks and her biographies comparing them with what my mother or grandmother had said…” Artist participating include recognized career and emerging creators, such as Fine Art Photographers: Anoukart that contrasts perfect focused colorful images on a black background to produce maximum visibility, accentuating the depicted subject at the centerDeladonne that with his quick eye, fantastic composition and a clever dominion of his artistic media takes us on his visual odyssey all over the streets of Miami and other worldwide destinations. Laura Jane Petelko photographic Soft Stories Series search beauty and emotion in landscapes with characters dressed on animal costumes acting as passionate human beings in a theatrical action merged with the most exquisite technique to obtain perfection. Marking a fusion of Abstract and Figurative: David Disko depicts landforms like a cartographer, architect, and designer, taking apart landscape, re-assembling it, creating objects and images that tell a story, a personal experience or are about light, the passage of time, place depictions by legend or account. Amber Warren composes colors, shapes, and forms in artworks representing real or non-real objects, shapes interacting in endless combinations to achieve new meanings, themes and styles, using resin, paste, metal or paper. Kelly Fischer artworks leave an imprint on the soul when color forces us to see things differently and impacts the viewer. She is inspired by traveling in city streets, country roads, mountain passes, and the ocean. Louis Atelouis based on his style of intuitive painting successively developed his new “Pleat-Art – Technology” creating his new own style works mainly on canvases that have been folded several times, in several layers of paint. Collazo Collection by Gabriel Collazo and wife Angela Brooks embeds love through words, emblems and actions, while symbols of love are scattered across the surface of their Art, the love starts deeper: within the canvas itself. They aim to remind that the need for Love is what we all have in common. The Geometric Abstract artworks by Luis Kaiulani develop fluidity, mindfulness, and color, his Art is unique by its own, expressed in sculptures, paintings and art objects that focus on line and color. All the selected Artists have exhibited in Art Fairs, Public Spaces or at Museums and have received awards, some of their artworks are in Collections in the USA or abroad.
