Series Desde Mis Raices. Oil and Mixed Media on Wood. 48″ x 24″

VeroV, born as Veronica Virreira has successfully developed her love for visual art, music, and personal advancement. Veronica has a wholly creative essence that conforms the frame inside which her exquisite talent and masterly management of drawing and painting techniques develops to accomplish her exquisite portraits paintings. When necessary, the Artist creates with spontaneous individuality, the drafts, and splashes that will communicate emotions from the soul of the portrayed subjects. Veronica Virreira graduated in Graphic Design at UPSA, the Private University of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, located in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Santa Cruz, Bolivia, also obtained an MBA at Harvard University, Business School in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as she completed her studies at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, in Madrid, Spain. During her career, Veronica Virreira founded the enterprise DIGRAFIKA dedicated to importing graphic materials. She was also a volunteer at IAVE, International Association for Volunteer Effort and a member of the Rotary Santa Cruz district 4690.

VeroV has successfully participated in exhibitions at important galleries in Bolivia, her country of provenance, as well as in artistic shows and events abroad, such as in Spain and in the US. She has stopped the time portraying either celebrities or common and imaginary faces that in the middle of lights and shadows, as well as in dramatic contrasts depicted by the Artist can show the purity of the free and monochromatic spaces. On this process she has portrayed celebrities, such as Mar Segura, well known actress that is a celebrity in Almeria, Spain; the Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez, during his tour entitled Romper Fronteras; the television, theater and cinema actor, as well as singer and show host in Argentina, portrayed Nico Vazquez and Santiago, united on an eternal embrace, as VeroV wanted to commemorate Nico’s brother, Santiago Vazquez, who recently died. At the present moment VeroV is in the process of creating a collection of ten Artworks to be exhibited at the GALA DE ANGELES in Miami, FL, to support the LATIN ANGELS FOUNDATION.
VeroV says in her Artist Statement about the Baroque and Native: “…among the notes of Baroque Music merge millenniums of musical scores that narrate the history of a people that transferred a musical inheritance from generation to generation. Their faces have the fusion from the Spanish Conquest to the Native victorious freedom that interprets its artistic legacy with chords and voices that reach the Heavens as wingless angels. The Jesuit Missions, declared by UNESCO as Humanity Cultural Patrimony, are a magical and unrepeatable destiny in the world.”
Three of VeroV remarkable Artworks of 48 x 24 inches from her series Desde Mis Raices, respectively entitled: Desde Mis Raices I, Desde Mis Raices II, and Desde Mis Raices III, are a great ‘must to see’ in the Contemporary Art Projects USA Booth at RED DOT Art Fair during Art Basel Miami week. The Artist exquisitely conceived them with hyperrealist images the most closer to reality, as well as with her original creative seal draw on them, surrealistically abstracting the overall image to make the highest emphasis in her message for education and love.
